Mike Reid, Merrill P Thomas Co., Inc recently sold this free-standing 4,150’ building to Chabad of Mobile, which operates as a branch of Chabad of Alabama, headquartered in Birmingham. “Chabad-Lubavitch” is a philosophy, a movement, and an organization and is considered to be the most dynamic force in Jewish life today.  The new owners will open a synagogue for the community, which would be “an open house for Judaism.”
